Alice Maria Messer- Loar

Alice Maria Messer-Loar, 38, of Okolona, entered the gates of her peaceful eternity unexpectedly, on Monday October 26, 2020, at her home. She was a rare, feisty, sassy and free-spirited soul with an infectious energy that could paint the mood in any room. Anyone who met her was guaranteed to never forget her. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth "Liz" Brussow, who she missed dearly and by her grandfather, Lloyd Wilson.

Alice leaves to cherish her memories, her children; Michael Delveau, Paige Foard, Lillian Loar, and Daniel Morris; father Joseph “Joe” Loar Sr.; Her “bonus mom” Ellen “Missy” Leasor-Loar; grandmother, Yvonne Wilson; grandfather, Terry Loar (Jian Loar); Brother; Joseph “J.P.” Loar II (Jessica and Christina Loar), Half siblings, Alice, Dorothy, Linda, Mark, Jeffery, and Tommy, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

All family and friends are encouraged to come help celebrate Alice's life from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Brookland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the funeral home to assist with her final expenses or via the GoFundMe campaign.
