Alma Jean Nutgrass

Alma “Jean” Nutgrass, age 81, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on October 30, 1944, in Cloverport, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Price Sr. and Doretha (Adams) Lane. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Summitt Hills Baptist Church. She worked with Bullitt County Seniors and was the office manager for her family business, Nutgrass Auto Care. Jean loved western movies. Two of her favorites were Jeremiah Johnson and The Searchers. She loved her flowers, camping with her family and visiting yard sales. She was a kind, giving woman always thinking of others before herself. Jean did volunteer work at Maryville Elementary School and was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout mom. Her true passion was her family; spending time with her children and grandchildren is what Jean held most dear to her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Clayton Nutgrass; brothers, Lawrence Price, Jr., Eddie Snyder, Tommy Lane, Ronnie Lane, David Lane and Larry Lane.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 61 years, Lonnie Nutgrass; children, Suzanne Pardieu (Damon) and Stacy Nutgrass; grandchildren, Taylor Pardieu, Seth Pardieu (Alyssa) and Sydney Camba (London); sister, Rita Pate (Jim); sister-by-choice, Sue McCoy Jorgenson; fur-babies Winnie and Harley and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Cloverport Cemetery in Cloverport, Kentucky. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 1:00 until 8:00 and on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 9:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
