

Alvin “Peanut” Leroy Napper Jr., age 71, of Fairdale, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Peanut was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 14, 1953, to the late Alvin Leroy Napper Sr. and Loretta Jane (Hughes)Napper. He retired from Louisville Scrap after 20 plus years of service where he was a foreman with a scrapping crew for box cars. Peanut also loved Nolin Lake, boating, fishing, drag racing and figure 8 racing. He also enjoyed sitting under a shade tree on a bucket tinkering with motors and passing the day. He was a loving husband, dad, brother, and Papaw. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother David Napper.
He is survived by his wife Brandy Kinser, son John Stephen Napper (Amanda), grandchildren Marley and Hudson Napper, bonus sons Rusty and Robbie Brown, sisters Jane Mattingly, Sarah Masterson Haddaway (Fred), Regina Kerns, Lee Ann Matthis (Kevin). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12 noon. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday October 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Penn Run Cemetery.
