Barbara Sue Kay

Ms. Barbara Sue Kay, age 77, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 2, 2024. Ms. Kay was born in Hardinsburg, KY on August 28, 1946 to the late Forrest Miller and Irene Wethington Miller. She was a devoted member of Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church and former Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was a loved and precious daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grammy and great-grammy. 

In addition to her parents, her son, Joseph A. Heavrin; granddaughter, Jenna Smith and siblings, Mary Lorena Rhodes, Robert C. Miller, Patricia Louise Miller, Joseph E. Miller and John A. Miller preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Jeff Heavrin; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Heavrin, Justin Heavrin, Marya Kirby, Alyssa Kramer, Morgan Perry and Taylor Myrick; great-grandchildren, Eli, Quinleigh, Penelope, Sadie and Rose; siblings, Leo Miller, Ralph Miller, Leonard Miller, Lois Redmon, Joyce Manning and Linda Aebischer; former husband, Joseph E. Heavrin and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church (3400 Summerfield Dr., Louisville, KY) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. 

Friends and family may pay their respects from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church.
