Bernard Eugene Favreau

He had a larger-than-life personality which filled every room he entered. He had a way of making people smile, laugh, and feel welcome simply by being himself. He was a member of Sons of Am Vets, Post 95, in Greenup, Kentucky.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved music, airplanes, and animals. Whether he was relaxing outdoors, taking a nap in his favorite spot, traveling to a new place, enjoying a swim, or visiting his friends at the Am Vets Post, he embraced each day with his own unique spirit.

His favorite meals were as uncomplicated as his outlook on life. He never turned down cheese, Doritos, cheeseburgers, French fries, or an ice-cold Coke. Those little favorites brought him comfort and were often enjoyed with family and friends.

Though family meant everything to him, love extended beyond blood. He is survived by the devoted caregivers who, through their compassion, kindness, and unwavering support, became his family. Their love and dedication enriched his life in immeasurable ways, and they will forever hold a special place in his story.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his extended family, caregiver/mother, Kathy Hays; brother, Jacob Hays; an aunt, Joy Herb; two cousins, Karey Herb, and Ashley Gillen; nephew, Hudson Hays, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
