Bettie Dale Carter

Bettie Dale Carter, age 77 of Jeffersontown, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 26, 2024. She was born on September 24, 1947, in Louisburg, North Carolina to the late James and Grace (Tucker) Allen. Bettie loved the ocean and beach, finding them to be a peaceful retreat, but her true passion was her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lori Bibb (Butch); son, Newell Carter (Jennifer); grandchildren, Brett Bibb (Becky), Sara Bibb, Shelby Compton (Caleb), Zack Carter, Nick Carter, Dylan Carter and Madelyn Carter; great-grandchildren, Lorelai Bibb and Andrew Compton; sister, Iris Champion; niece, Lydia Gardner; nephew, Brian Champion; fur-baby, Gracie and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 3 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Family and friends may pay their respects from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
