Betty Ann Stewart Zachary

Mrs. Betty Ann Stewart Zachary, age 81, of Okolona, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 with family by her side. Mrs. Zachary was born in Edwardsville, Illinois on May 13, 1936 to the late Walter and Thelma Stewart. She was a member of Okolona Christian Church.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, William L. Zachary; daughter, Carol Smith and her grandson, Johnny Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Karen Chaytor, Jeannie Owen (Chuck), Pam Durham (Gary), Debbie Tharp (Sonny), Peggy Stowers (Tom) and Darla Cunagin (Tim); 18 grandchildren; many beloved great- grandchildren and great- great grandchildren; her siblings, Susie Cain (Cork) and Tom Stewart (Diane) and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Betty’s Guardian Angel’s here on Earth, Linda and David Lawrence.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (Radcliff, KY). Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or Okolona Christian Church.
