Betty Brand

Mrs. Betty Brand, age 74, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 21, 2022. She was born on July 20, 1947 to the late Ernest Thompson and Elizabeth Curtsinger. Mrs. Brand was a homemaker by trade and a faithful member of the Free Pentecostal Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, James Vincent and second husband, Kenneth Brand and sister, Brenda Chesser.

She was a very kindhearted and loving woman. Mrs. Brand lived by the “golden rule” treat others as you would want to be treated. In her younger days, she loved crocheting. As she grew older, she was a collector of bells.

Mrs. Brand leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert Prather; granddaughter, Sylvia Prather; great-granddaughter, Sophia Jetter; brother, Charles Thompson (Linda); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 5:00pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Burial will follow at 10:00am on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Bethany Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 3:00pm until the time of service at 5:00pm.
