Betty L. Brewer

Mrs. Betty L. Brewer, age 61, of Hillview returned to her Heavenly Father on July 12, 2013. Mrs. Brewer worked in production at Nelson Boone and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her father, Hayden Thurmond; brothers, Phillip, Little Gil and Dennis Thurmond. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 45 years, Donald Brewer; daughter, Tammy Norkiewicz-Brewer; son, Donnie Brewer, Jr. (Amy Guest-Brewer); grandchildren, Taylor Ojala, Jesse Sharp, Donnie Brewer III (Little Don) and Laikon Brewer; mother, Hazel Thurmond; sisters, Ruby Neagle, Teresa Thurmond and Brenda Lair; and brother, Leonard Thurmond.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday and Tuesday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst. www.subfuneralhome.com
