Betty Delores Purcell

Mrs. Betty Delores Purcell, age 89, of Crestwood, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Mrs. Purcell was born in Valley Station on August 30, 1930 to the late Charles and Eva McWilliams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James F. Purcell; son, Larry Purcell; brothers, William, James, Charles and Emmett McWilliams and sisters, Roberta Bowling and Norma Purcell.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Terrie Gambrel (Jim) and Linda Foster (Ronnie); grandchildren, Trent Plummer (Lannie), Brandon Plummer, Garrett Gambrel (Jenny), Lorie Wilson, Donnie Foster and Greg Merriweather (Melissa); brother, Paul McWilliams (Charlotte) and sisters, Janie Merriweather (Harry) and Brenda Cox.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY, 40165). Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
