Betty June Taylor

Ms. Betty June Taylor, age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She was born on June 10, 1937 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Ada Simpson. Ms. Taylor loved cooking, sewing and had a beautiful singing voice. She had a very strong faith. Ms. Taylor is preceded in death by her mother, Ada Simpson; stepfather, Virgil Simpson; brothers, Ken Simpson, Bob Simpson, Denver Simpson and Charles Simpson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Regina Deaton, Rick Deaton (Sharon), Renae Deaton Cullen (Rick); grandchildren, David Castleman (Tracie), Alisa Fackler (Mike), Matt Deaton (Gail), Eric Deaton (Sarah Hodnett), Alex Deaton (Ricki Cate), Kassie Cullen; great grandchildren, Nathan Castleman (Emily Grace), Joshua Castleman, Madison Fackler, Jack Fackler, Sophia Dunnavan, Hunter Dunnavan, Andrew Deaton, Zachary Deaton, Jacob Deaton, Aria Deaton; great great grandchild, Avery Castleman; brother, Wayne Simpson; sisters, Brenda Richardson, Reta Poindexter, Bonnie Collett, Charlotte Swartz, Delena Mills; aunt, Bernice Dawes; uncle, Randall Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers, Donna, Tiffany and Angie for all their help with Ms. Taylor.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respect on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm.
