Betty Jane Whitaker

Mrs. Betty Jane Whitaker, age 88, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on November 23, 2024. Betty was born on October 8, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William Howard and Mary Eberly. She retired after 20 plus years as an assistant with the pre-school program for JCPS. Betty was a loving and devoted wife and mother; she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her late husband James Ernest Whitaker.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only son James W. Whitaker (Ann), grandchildren Stacy Huston (Shane), James Whitaker (Heather), 2 great-grandchildren Mackenzie Breitenstein, Tristyn Barnhart, niece Maria Brown (Robert).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway 40165). Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 4:
