Billie Lynn Pennington

Billie Lynn Pennington, age 74, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 15, 2022. She was a member of Maryville Baptist Church and retired from Salvation Army Kentucky-Tennessee divisional Head- quarters as HR director. Billie was born in Isom, Kentucky on February 19, 1948, to the late Robert Eugene Bates, Sr. and Mary Louise “Duncil” Bates. She is preceded in death by her parents. Billie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenneth Pennington; daughter, Angela Marie Johnson (Evin); son, Robert Lee Pennington; grandchildren, Lauren Johnson and Thomas Johnson; sister, Sherry Taylor (Rick); brothers, Barry Bates and Jr. (Dianne) and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home.
