Billy Earl Owens

Mr. Billy Earl Owens (Red), age 78, of the South End returned to his Heavenly Father on July 8, 2013. Mr. Owens retired from Brown and Williamson where he was a panel board operator and he was a U.S. Army veteran. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Homer and Evelyn Owens; son, Tommy Owens; grandson, Jeffrey Page; and brother, Vermont Owens. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Dixie Owens; daughters, Debbie Allen (Mark Tinnell) and Cathy Page (Donald Greene); grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Brandon and Krystal; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brianna, Abigail, Landon, Kaylee and Abigail; brothers, Clifford and Paul (Sue) Owens; and daughter-in-law, Babette Owens. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens.
