

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James Burden; daughter, Kimberly Burden; son, Matthew Burden; Nana to Jayden Hill and Bentley Saunders.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Eviona Pugh; mother and father in law Russell and Lovina Burden; sister in laws, Donna Burden and Bonnie Pugh; brother in laws, Royce Burden, Nick Burden, and Mark Burden.
Survived by siblings; Lynn Pugh, Glenda Wooden, Billy Pugh, Mike Pugh, Junior Pugh, Carl(Amanda) Pugh; Brother in laws, Phillip(Linda) Burden, Jeff(Sheila) Burden, Lee(Tammy) Burden, Bruce(Brenda) Burden, Roger Burden; Sister in laws; Gale Burden and Anita Burden. A host of nieces and nephews.
She was saved and a member at Pond Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, where she could relax, reflect, and enjoy time surrounded by family. The ocean also held a special place in her heart, offering her peace. Whether near the water or gathered around a campsite, Bonnie found meaning in experiences that brought people together and created lasting memories.
A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 2-8PM. A funeral service will be held at Pond Creek Missionary Baptist Church 14602 Pauley’s Gap Road, Louisville Kentucky 40272 on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11AM with brother Jeff Brother and Tommy Seabolt officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Mount Eden Cemetery.
