

Mrs. Brenda Kay Cresswell, age 61, of Mt. Washington, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 14, 2024. Mrs. Cresswell was born in Louisville, KY on December 19, 1962, to the late James L. Hagan and Mavis E. Hagan.
She will be warmly remembered for her compassionate, tender heart that made everyone around her feel loved. Brenda had a magnetic personality and lit up every room with her witty sense of humor and her contagious laughter. She was a dedicated employee at BCBS/ NGS for over 30 years. Her passions in life included her love for travel, rooting for the KY Wildcats, and playing Bunco. Brenda was a dedicated follower of the Lord whose faith shaped her life. Along with her family, her faith was the most important part of her life and she held onto it until the very end.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Dennis Hagan preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 34 years, Jim Cresswell; daughter, Briana Thornhill and her husband, Jake; son, Ben Cresswell; one grandchild on the way, Jake Thornhill IV; brother-in-law, David Cresswell (Cindy); sister-in-law, Shirley Hagan and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Little Flock Baptist Church (5500 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY) and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Little Flock Baptist Church.
