Carl "C.W." William Warden

Mr. Carl William “C.W.” Warden, age 78, of Brooks returned to his Heavenly Father on June 26, 2025. C.W. was born on April 9, 1947, in Lebanon Junction, KY to the late Sylvia Jean (Moore) Walker and Richard David Warden, Sr. C.W. worked in maintenance at Jim Beam Distillery for over 44 years and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He coached youth baseball and basketball. He loved music and played in several bands during his youth. C.W. loved fishing, gardening, and watching westerns.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Judy (Hatfield) Warden; son, David Warden (Dana); grandchildren, Kaila Roy, Tyler Warden, Danielle Schenck (Nathan), Kyle Warden (Traci), and Hannah Mahuad (Carlos); great-grandchildren, Ava Roy, Patrick Roy, Tyler David Warden, and Jase Schenck; fur baby, Annie; brother, Rick Warden (Malea); sister, Wendy Parrish (Mike); brothers-in-law, Terry, Larry (Barbi), and Garry (Yvonne) Goodin; several nieces and nephews; and the many players he coached throughout the years.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Brooks Baptist Church (3837 Coral Ridge Road Brooks, KY 40109). Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. The family has chosen cremation. Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
