Carol Darlene Standard

     Mrs. Carol Darlene Standard, age 68, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born in Louisville, KY on Friday, January 1, 1954, to the late Silas Underwood and Daisy Burks Webber. She is also preceded in death by her previous husband, James Johnson and her sister, Debbie Underwood.  

     She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening and car rides with her sister and daughter to bingo.

    She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Richard Standard; her daughter and best friend, Melissa Sowell (David Thompson); her brother, Bobby Underwood (Shannon); along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

    Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm and on Wednesday 9am until time of service at 10am.
