Charles Edward Hardy

Mr. Hardy was born July 24, 1930 in Louisville to the late George Edward and Tillie Pfeiffer Hardy. He was a United States Navy veteran and a retired Louisville fire fighter.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Ruth Hardy; daughters, Darlene Mercer (Daniel) and Theresa Hardy (Joe); grandsons, Daniel, Jr. (Tiffany) and Jim Mercer (Amy); great grandchildren, Asa, Owen, Abby and Jonah; brothers, Bob Pullen, Kenny Hardy (Dorothea) and Ronnie Hardy (Margolene); sisters, Mary Margaret Corn, Shirley Smith and Rose Renner and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) is in charge of the arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Multiple Sclerosis Society.
