Charlotte (Charlee) Olivia Ojala

Ms. Charlotte “Charlee” Olivia Ojala, age 23, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 17, 2000, to Scot and Erin (Masten) Ojala. Preceding her in death are her Papaw Skippy, her cousin Ryan, her Aunt Amy, and her Aunt Sherri and Uncle Obie. 

Charlee was a loving and friendly person who cared deeply about others. She was the drum major for the Fairdale High School Bulldogs marching band and was also prom queen and Valedictorian for the class of 2019. Her skills took her on to perform concerts in 9 different European countries during the 2018 Kentucky Ambassadors Music Tour. Charlee loved working as a Lead Store Associate at Aldi. She loved her books, her makeup, and her jewelry. Charlee adored her brother Nick and enjoyed playing the Wii with him. She loved her weekend cabin trips and playing board games with Celia, Cameron, Megan and Tyler.

Charlee was a true joy.

She took a piece of everyone’s heart with her

 and will be missed by all.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Scot and Erin Ojala; brothers, Nicholas and Taylor Ojala; more than a cousin - a sister and twin flame - Celia Jackson; long-time boyfriend, Cameron; grandparents, Penny Masten and Ernie Anderson; grandmother, Darlene Lewis; aunts and uncles, Meggie (Dustin), Jarrod (Emily), Jami (Eddie), Tina (Randy), Todd (Toni) and Renee (Jamie); and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Family and friends can pay their respects on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
