Chester Jones Jr.

Mr. Chester Jones Jr., age 87, of Fairdale, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1934 in London, Kentucky. He was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, hunting and time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Jones; his parents, Chester and Matilda Jones; along with his brothers, Roscoe and Oscar Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Judy Maddux (Steve) and Carl Jones (Tammy); his grandchildren, Joshua Maddux (Morgan), Jason Jones, Joseph Maddux (Gabby) and Kayla Garrard (Corey); 12 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home 4895 North Preston Highway Shepherdsville, with a private burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10am until time of service.
