Christopher "Chris" Griffin

Born on January 27, 1962, in Grant County, Kentucky, Chris lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a steady Christian faith that guided him throughout his years. He was a man who valued simple joys and meaningful relationships, and he will be remembered for the kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength he shared with those around him.

Chris had a lifelong interest in working on cars and fishing, pastimes that reflected both his practical nature and his appreciation for time spent doing what he loved. Whether he was under the hood of a vehicle or enjoying a peaceful day by the water, he found satisfaction in patience, skill, and perseverance. Those who knew him best will remember his willingness to help, his dependable presence, and the pride he took in doing things the right way.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Griffin; his children, Christopher Griffin Jr., Todd Wedman and his wife Cassie, Rachel Griffin, Maranda Griffin (Travis), Daniel Griffin (Kelli), and Travis Griffin (Haley); 10 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings, Garry Griffin and his wife Felicia, Jessica Griffin and her husband Shane, Linda Needham, Caron Commee and her husband Mike, and Mike Scheser and his wife Kat; and his best friend, Michael Sexton. Chris cherished his family deeply, and his love for them was evident in the way he lived, worked, and cared for those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Scheser; his stepfather, Jack Scheser; his father, Garry Griffin; his brother, Rodney Griffin; and his stepbrother, Keith Scheser. Their memories remained an important part of his life, and he carried their influence with him always.

Chris will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His life was one of faith, family, and enduring love, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us, the legacy of his life will remain through the many lives he touched and the family he helped shape.

A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3-8pm. A funeral service will be held the following day on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10am.
