Clayton Carl Ashby

Mr. Ashby was born November 26, 1925 in Bloomfield, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Gertha Keeling Ashby. He was a United States Army veteran who served during World War II and a retiree from General Electric.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his wife, Dorothy Ashby; son, David Ashby; grandson, Christopher Ashby and several brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Peggy Smith (Jeffrey), Danny (Nancy), Judy and Mary Ashby; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Monday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from noon until 8:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
