Clifford "Tippy" S. Thompson

Mr. Clifford S. “Tippy” Thompson, age 80, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Mr. Thompson was born on September 20, 1937 to the late Elgin and Goldie Mae Thompson. He was a member of Highland Park Lodge #865 F&AM.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his wife, Bernetty Thompson; his son, Jason Thompson; granddaughter, Debbie Perkins; grandson, Gerald Skidmore and siblings, Harold, Eugene and Elgin (Jr.) Thompson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Donnie Shofner (Kathy), Wayne Thompson (Gail), Randy Thompson (Emma), Joe Thompson (Kim), Betty Perkins (Eugene), Anna Thompson- Fisher (Robby), Sharon Ellingsworth (Fred); his daughter by heart, Barbara Gallander; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; sister, Juanita Skaggs and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
