David Lee Hunt

Mr. David Lee Hunt, age 75, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on January 29, 2023.  Mr. Hunt was born on May 18, 1947, in Jefferson County, KY to the late Earl Alanson Jackson and Betty Clark Jackson (Sterling Hunt).  Mr. Hunt retired from Mechanics Choice as a sales representative.  He had served in the United States Army and was a member of the Suburban Masonic Lodge #740 F. & A. M. and the Street Rod Nationals.

Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Nail and Kathy Burton; his in-laws, Flora and Joseph Boerste.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Patti Sue Boerste Hunt, having united in marriage on June 22, 1968; two sons, Joseph Edward Hunt and Jeffery David Hunt; three brothers, Glen Jackson(Karen), Danny(Pam) Jackson and Kenny Jackson(Tammy); several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, February 6, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 1-8 pm and Monday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. A masonic service will be held Sunday at 7 pm at the funeral home.
