Delbert Wayne Green

Mr. Delbert Wayne Green, 71, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on April 2, 2018. Mr. Green was born on October 12, 1946 to James Green and Margaret Benningfield Kinsey. He was a mechanic for many years and enjoyed restoring antique automobiles.  Mr. Green also served his country in the United States Army. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his father, James Green.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, JoEtta (Elmore) Green, mother, Margaret Benningfield Kinsey; children, Derrick Green (Dena), Patrick Ryan Green, Tracey Williams (Tim), Stacey Carlin, and Sherry Free (Steve); grandchildren, Michael Drury, Steven Muss, Travis Green, Jared Free, Hailey Free, and Reece Williams; siblings, Barbara Peaster, Wanda Arnold, Billy Green, Roger Green, Judy Coffey, Steve Green, Jennie White and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) With burial to follow in Mt. Holly Cemetery (Fairdale, KY). Friends may pay their respects Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
