It's a dark day for the sun to be shining. That's all I can think as I walked through the half full parking lot of Norton Brownsboro Hospital this last Sunday morning. That day we lost a bright light amongst an often unremarkable world Denise Vaughn was born March 13th 1953 in Clinton Iowa to Melvin Rademacher and Audrey Smith Rademacher Calvin she was the 4th of six children Denise excelled at being herself making you laugh and getting herself into situations only she could all the while showing more love and compassion in a day that most people can muster in a year she loved helping people in need shown by her work with the Jerry Lewis telethon and her time as a firefighter and EMT with the Schofield WI fire department. She was an a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was hopelessly in love with her husband of almost 47 years Anthony Ray Vaughn (her tiger ) of Mount Washington Kentucky. She had two Loved, children Heather Anne Vaughn of Louisville KY. Anthony Ray Vaughn Jr of Mt. Washington KY. Denise was blessed with five grandchildren. Jasmine Kennedy of Kansas City Missouri Jamal Mosby but mostly of Louisville Kentucky Bradley Logsdon of Jacksonville Florida Amazon and Xander Vaughan of Mount Washington Kentucky she needs to also had three great-grandchildren Eason Penelope and Haizlee Kennedy all three of Kansas City Missouri, Emma and Zander Vaughn. Denise also had five brothers and sisters, Melvin Rademacher (dec) wife Laura. Roger Rademacher, wife Rachelle. Terry Rice, husband Ken, Pause for Mom, Sherry Mastro, Tom, and Stacy Arnold, husband Darrin. Along with many other cousins, God children, nieces nephews and friends that were all touched in some way by Denise's loving and giving personality. No one who met Denise, then left her presence without feeling that they were with a friend. Denise loved to laugh, she loved to dance, could absolutely not sing, and more than all she loved her family. Thanks Mom for always being there for everyone around you,no matter what was going on with you. So I'll leave you with a line from a song, Mom you were my closest friend, you Will always be so special to me." Love and miss you always.
