Doris J Dunford, 78, passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1948, to the late Lonnie and Hazel Johnson in Bonnieville, Kentucky. She loved spending time with her family, sewing and gardening. She also had a love for roosters and monkeys.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David A. Dunford; a daughter, Nancy Jean Puckett; 3 brothers, Ikey Gibson, Ray Johnson and Roger Johnson; and a sister, Debbie Perry.
Doris is survived by 3 sons, David C. Dunford (Licia), Paul T. Dunford (Dawn) and Brian M. Dunford (Angela); grandchildren, Heather, David, Destinie, Whitney, Kyle, Justin, Dalton and Trenton; great grandchildren, Mason, Michael, Caylyann, Tre’sean, Di’mari, Adelyn and Jayme; and sisters, Linda Druin and Pat Fancher.
Visitation will be held at Hardy Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, KY on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
