Doyle lived a life that was anything but ordinary. He was a longtime truck driver, a biker at heart, and a man who was stubborn, rough around the edges, fiercely loyal, and unapologetically himself. With Doyle, you rarely had to wonder where you stood. If he liked you, you knew it. If he didn’t, you usually knew that too.
Over the years, age and grandchildren softened some of those rough edges. He believed strongly in loyalty, standing your ground, reading people well, and showing up when it mattered. He had his own set of rules about life, and many of those lessons stayed with the people who knew and loved him.
Doyle was a man who lived on his own terms. He loved motorcycles, the open road, and the independence that came with both. He could be hard-headed and difficult, but he could also be dependable when it counted.
Several strokes took much of his speech and independence, and Shirley’s death later changed the course of his life even more. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Traxler. Life was not always kind to Doyle, but the difficult years cannot erase the man he had been or the memories he left behind.
He will be remembered as tough, complicated, loyal, independent, and very far from perfect—which is exactly how those who truly knew him would want him remembered.
Doyle is survived by his children, Michelle Bryant, Glenn Graham (Bub) and his wife, Stacie, Kyle Traxler, Matt Traxler, Brandon Traxler, Angela Traxler, Lindsey Traxler, and Destiny Traxler; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his siblings, a host of other family members, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
Those who loved him find comfort in imagining him whole again—able to talk, ride, drive, crank up some good music, light one up, and be the badass he was before life took so much from him.
