Edgar P. Simmons

Edgar P. Simmons, age 54, of Louisville was born July 25, 1959 to the late Bill and Janet Cross Simmons and returned to his Heavenly Father September 19, 2013. Mr. Simmons was a retired U.S. Army veteran, serving 28 years of faithful service and a member of Veterans of Foreign war Shepherdsville Post 5710.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; brother, Larry Simmons and sister, Remona Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Catherine Stomski Simmons; son Paul "Tony" Simmons; brother, James Tomlinson; sisters, Devonia Coy, Nina Meredith, Sandy Perkins, Monica Perkins, Deana West, Heather Simmons, Rebecca Ball, Linda Braizer and Mary Trigg and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
