Edith L. (Raisor) Martin

Mrs. Edith L. (Raisor) Martin, age 89, of Louisville, KY entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home. Edith was born in Gallatin County, KY on April 12, 1931 to the late Hannibal and Laura Raisor.

She was a Christian by faith and a former member of Worldwide Church of God and New Life Fellowship. She loved gardening in her flowerbeds, creating colorful pencil art, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. In her younger years, she loved to dance and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Junior H. Martin; brothers, Floyd, RC, RoyLee, Hannibal Jr. and Raymond Raisor; sisters, Catherine McIntyre, Marjorie Miller and Bessie Wallace; grandson, Jeremy Alexander, and several nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Mickey H. Martin (Terri); daughters, Peggy Head (Terry), Terri Blain (Ray), and Brenda Martin; grandchildren, Wendy Blain, Amber Martin, Jacob Head (Kara), Isaiah and Isaac Malone and Caleb Jecker; great- grandchildren, Keenan and Piper Blain, Camden Martin, Tara and Zane Alexander, and Christopher Head; her devoted fur baby, Buttons and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 12, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with private burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
