

Born on March 27, 1947, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to the late Edward Chambers and Mary Lou Hall.
Edward served his country as an Army veteran, a role that reflected his commitment to service and responsibility. His time in the Army remained an important part of his life, and the values he carried from that experience stayed with him throughout the years. After 20 years of service, he retired and started a new role as an accountant specializing in taxes and continued to help those who needed it. He believed in hard work, loyalty, and doing what was right, and he lived those principles in a way that earned the respect of others.
Edward is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lynn Chambers; his children, Tina Walker and Eric Chambers; grandchildren, Sydney Chambers and Ash Walker and one great grandchild, Micah Hoffman. Also, survived by his brother, Steve and 3 sisters, Karen, Deborah and Candace.
Edward loved his family and always placed their wellbeing ahead of himself and was always the first to step up to help in any way he could.
A visitation for Edward will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home at 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 10am to 11:30am. A funeral service will immediately follow. Edward will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central following his military honors.
