Frederick P. Myers "Fred"

Frederick P. Myers, “Fred”, age 74, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father October 23, 2017. Fred was born on June 11, 1943 to the late Frederick and Wilma Myers. He was a Vietnam Naval Veteran and a retired from Ford Motor Company where he spent 36 years in a statistical process department as a control tech. Fred also was a coordinator for Toys for Tots for over 25 years, a member of KBA/KMA, and played softball for Metro Parks Softball.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 44 years, Janet Myers; 2 sons, Paul (Lorie) and Danny (Shannon) Myers; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Barr, Tristen Boyer, and Kolby Myers; 1 great granddaughter, Adair Adams; 1 sister, Sandy Myers; 1 brother, Dan Myers; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 2:00pm, October 26, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (N. Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects from 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday and on Friday from 12:00pm until the time of service.
