Gary Wayne Underwood

Mr. Gary Wayne Underwood, age 51, of Boston, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on October 15, 2018. Mr. Underwood was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 11, 1967, to Clorine and James W. Underwood. Mr. Underwood retired from Roman-Hass where he worked as a chemical operator and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a real outdoors man. He loved fishing and shooting. He loved his family dearly. Mr. Underwood will be greatly missed.

Among those preceding him in death are his father, James W. Underwood; and his sister-in-law, April Underwood.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Christopher Underwood (Nicole), Hannah Underwood, Cory Carter, and Crystal Carnell (Randy); 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Bridget, Katrina, Lucas, and Nathan; his mother, Clorine Underwood; brothers and sisters, Betty Armour (Richard), Ricky Underwood, Darrell Underwood (Cathy), Ronald Underwood (Aldora), Mark Underwood (Jennifer), Robert Underwood (Debbie), and Barbara Etherton (Terry); special sisters, Myra Arnett and Mary Crigler; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
