George Thomas Nicholas

Mr. George Thomas “Tom” Nicholas, age 73, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on July 13, 2022. Mr. Nicholas was born on January 12, 1949, in Louisville, KY to the late John and Irene (Sturdivant) Nicholas. Mr. Nicholas retired from Coca-Cola as a special event manager. He volunteered for the V.F.W. and was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, and brothers, Joe, Jim, and David Nicholas.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy (Burke) Nicholas; children, John Nicholas (Amy) and Jennifer Yadon (Seth); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lillian, Alyssa, Daisy, and Jacob; and sisters, Pamela Dearing and Paula Allen (Dennis).

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus. www.subfuneralhome.com
