Gloria Jean Burt

Gloria Jean Burt, age 78, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on August 9, 2022.  She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 15, 1944, to the late Ernest Sr. and Evelyn Charlene Hawks Napier. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a former member of St. Lukes. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Burt, Sr.; grandson, Justin; sister, Rita Smallwood; and parents. Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her children, Melissa Marie Scott (Blake), James Leo Burt, Jr. (Mindy), Kevin Wayne Burt (Laura) and David Leroy Burt, Sr. (Karen); 9 grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Krissy, David Jr., Savannah, Lannah, Bates, Bradley and Kiersten; 7 great grandchildren, Owen, Ian, Cooper, Hallie, Millie, Hudson and Adeline; brothers, Ernest L. Napier, Jr.(Hazel) and Brian Smallwood (Diana); sisters, Linda Spencer (Hank) and Paula Grimes (Nathan) and the rest of Smallwood family; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.  Friends and Family may pay their respects on Sunday from 12 pm until 8 pm on Monday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
