Glyn Maurice Gilbert

Mr. Glyn Maurice Gilbert, age 80, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Mr. Gilbert was born in Louisville, KY on January 31, 1945 to the late Arthur Gilbert and Edith Louise (Hall) Gilbert.

In addition to his parents, his beloved wife, Sandra Lee Gilbert; his daughter, Karen Hadley; grandson, Glyn Matthew and brother, Gary Gilbert preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Glyn Martin “Marty” Gilbert (Carolyn), Tracy Renfro (Steve) and Dana Purvis; grandchildren, Krissie, Amanda, Keith, Danielle, Shelby, Zackary, Drew, Austin, Kylie, Nolan and Bryce; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Geryl Gilbert; best friends, Patsy Stanbery and Edgar Vilums and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of his service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
