Harry Douglas Bratcher, Sr.

Mr. Harry Douglas Bratcher, Sr., age 72, of Mt. Washington, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Mr. Bratcher was born in Caneyville, KY on November 20, 1947 to the late Edward Thomas Bratcher and Essie D. Bratcher. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Henry Vogt Machine Company and retired from Dawn Foods.

His granddaughters, Summer Ann Bratcher and Grace Elizabeth Bratcher preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Virginia Bratcher; sons, Harry Bratcher, Jr. (April Timmons), Kevin Bratcher (Charlotte), Jason Bratcher and Samuel Page (Teresa); grandchildren, Kevin, Katelyn, Sean, Nate and Eric; brother, Edward Bratcher (Nelda); sister, Nadine Bratcher and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Autism Society of Kentuckiana or the American Cancer Society.
