She is preceded in death by her husband, Haydon G. Thurmond, children; Gil, Phillip, Dennis and Betty Brewer; sisters, Minnie Pierce and Helen Acree.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Ruby Neagle, Teresa Thurmond, Brenda Lair and son, Leonard Thurmond; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy) with burial in Duncan Memorial Gardens. Friends may pay their respect Thursday, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
