Janet Carol Mullins

Ms. Janet Carol Mullins, age 73, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2017. Ms. Mullins was a school teacher with Jefferson County Public Schools and retired after 34 years of service. She then returned to work for Reading Readiness for 14 years helping children to read. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, James and Irene White Mullins; and brother, Mark Mullins. She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Stephen Mullins (Diane); nieces, Becky Mullins and Cynthia Knapp; great-nephew, Ethan Horan; numerous cousins and a host of friends; and her canine companion, Casey.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, January 23, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
