Janna Burke

Janna Kathryn Alvey Burke went home to the Lord on February 1st peacefully and without struggle. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Burke, her parents, Anthony and Mary Alvey, brothers Paul, Wally, Graham, John, and sisters Sarah, Fran, and Belle.

To mourn her loss, she leaves behind the smartest dog ever, Elvis. In addition to being survived by husband of 60 years, Richard Burke, son Richy (Deana), daughter Crystal, grandson Dre (Savannah), granddaughter Presley, and great grandson Kaysen. She is also survived by sisters Pat Ethington, Betsy Ray, and Annie Bowles (Jerry) and loved sister in laws Monica Blevens (Donnie), Pam Burke and Diane Alvey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

We’d like her to be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Janna was known for her tremendous love of dogs, horses, and cowboys. She was funny, loyal, smart, and the bestest friend she could be to anyone she met.

A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 9:30AM to 12PM. A funeral service will follow at 12PM in the funeral home.
