

Mr. Jason Thomas Fassler, age 50, of Fern Creek, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Mr. Fassler served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and as an officer on the USS Nevada. He was a Product Quality Engineer at General Electric for 21 years.
Jason was best known for his devoted love to his family. He met his soulmate in 1999 and the two have shared many years of love and happiness. Jason and Sandy could be found antiquing or spending time with their grandkids on most Saturday mornings. He adored his children and was an exceptional grandfather. He was the center of the world for his faithful dog, Fannie Mae. He was a loving brother and kept in touch with all of his siblings, even from a thousand miles away. He was a loyal friend and coworker, always ready with sarcasm to make you smile. His favorite sayings were “Thank you” and “I love you”. Jason was a cherished member of his family and community and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Mr. Fassler was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marilyn Fassler.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 21 years, Sandra Fassler; children, Tim Wallace (Ashley), Kayla Wilmoth (Andrew), Jordan Povanda (Alicia) and Tabitha Hickerson (JT); 6 grandchildren, Landon (Spike), Easton, Hadlee, Elijah, Olivia and one on the way; 8 siblings, Joe, Jerry (Cindy), Jeanne (Jerry), John (Molly), Julie (Mike), Jim, Jennifer (Cody) and Justin (Melissa) and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow in Crosswater Gardens Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the La Grange Railroad Museum.
