Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, Melvin and Lucy Ford; brother, Morris F. Ford and sister, Rhona K. Ford.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Miranda Ford; grandchildren, Dawson Nalett, Cambrian Nalett and Addisyn Murphy; sister, Nancy Parsley; brother, Dennis Ford; husband- in -law, Glenn Hagan (Lisa) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst.
