Jimmy Stanley

Mr. Jimmy Stanley, age 86, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on July 24, 2023. Mr. Stanley was born in Somerset, KY on December 24, 1936, to the late Bennie and Myrtle (Cooper) Stanley. He was a paving contractor and a member of Victory House of Worship. He was a mason with Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge #14 F.&A.M. in Georgetown, KY. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, siblings, Linda Smith, Owen, Babe, Bennie, Jr., Earl, Carl Sr., and Buddy Stanley; and grandchildren, Ciara Rain Stanley and Michael Boswell. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 66 years, Judy (Kissner) Stanley; children, Jimmy “Jim Boy” Stanley, Jr. (Spencer Ann), Jewel Stanley, Martha Dock (Jimmie), Millie Boswell, Billy Jo Stanley (Jimmie Lou), Donnie Stanley, and Tommy Stanley (Priscilla); 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Maggie Stanley, Millie Dunaway (Rick), and Johnny Stanley (Lindy).

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 1-8 pm, Thursday from 10 am-8 pm, and Friday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com
