Joseph W. Staab

Mr. Joseph W. Staab, age 80, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born on July 20, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Staab worked for L&N and CSX railroads for 38 and a half years, where he retired in 2002. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Geraldine Staab; sister Jeanine Staab.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Lurie Staab; daughters, Brenda McGrew (Dave), Kim Winebrenner (Danny), Sandy Goins (Steve), Cathy Hatfield; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandsons, sisters, JoAnn Williams (Terry), Jackie Heise, Judy Gay (Les); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive) with inurnment at a later date. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11:00am until the time of service at 4:00pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
