Joyce Kay Adams

Mrs. Joyce Kay (Cox) Adams, age 77, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 5, 2021. Mrs. Adams was born on February 13, 1943 in Louisville, KY to the late James and Irene (Hutchinson) Cox. Mrs. Adams retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents, husband of 53 years, Paul Adams; and son, Kenneth Wayne Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Carrie Adams, Paula Dowell (Mark), and Pam Atcher (Thomas); 6 granddaughters, Erica, Amanda (Jamie), Kesha, Stephanie (BJ), Lisa (Cameron), and Sarah (Evan); 4 grandsons, Mark, Jr. (Danielle), Jason, Nick, and Austin; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Hosparus.
