Joyce Ann Samuels

Mrs. Joyce Ann Samuels, age 81, of Brooks KY, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, with her family by her side. Mrs. Samuels was born in Louisville, KY on September 17, 1939, to the late Luther Baumgardner and Catherine “Wendler" Smith. Mrs. Samuels retired from Executive Inn West after 7 years of service, she was Christian by faith and enjoyed crocheting, working her puzzle books, and enjoyed raising her 11 children. She loved her family dearly.

Among those who preceded her in death are her parents;2 brothers; 2 sisters; and her 2 sons, James Alton Froman, Jr, and Charles Walter Samuels.

She leaves to cherish her memory 9 children, Kathy Sparks, Rhonda Gail Froman, Gary Wayne Froman, Sandra Dunford (Jimmy), Glen Eugene Froman, Jeffrey Alan Froman(Resa), Tammy Renee Hopper (Brent), Karen Marie Simpson (Troy), Kelly Jean Tidwell; 2 brothers; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; along with host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 1: 00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Froman Family Cemetery, Brooks Ky.
