Leo "Dan" Cook

Mr. Cook was in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and a Baptist by faith. He was a supervisor for American Synthetic Rubber Company for 39 years and a part time officer at the Shively Police Department for 29 years.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, and brothers, Chilton, Conley and Dawson Cook.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Willa Cook; children, Danny Cook, Jr. and Lori Schroering (Steve); grandchildren, Taya, Trevor (Samantha) Hill, Troy Hanson, Trenton and Dawson Schroering; great grandchildren, Logan and Rylee Hill; brother, Bill Cook (Dorothy); sister, Merlene Slaughter;numerous friends including his long time best friends, Jesus Christ and Dale W. Fryrear, Sr.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance) with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Saturday at Schoppenhorst.
