Leon Anthony Gatlin

Mr. Leon Anthony Gatlin, age 67, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Mr. Gatlin was born in Louisville, KY on December 18, 1950 to the late Ralph R. Gatlin and Bonnie Monzell Robbins. He served in the United States Army and retired from MSD.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his children, Brian Gatlin, Leon Gatlin, Shaun Gatlin and Chrissy Gatlin; great- granddaughter, Audrey; and brother, Larry Gatlin.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Derek Gatlin (Kim); grandchildren, Tori, Caleb, Nick, Daelyn, Blake and Shauna; his former wife, Frances Webster; great- granddaughter, Aubrey; siblings, Raymond Gatlin (Doris), Darlene Wilson, Connie Carman (Ronnie); several special nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 3, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
