Leon M Taylor

Mr. Leon M. Taylor, age 74, of Mt. Washington, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 20,2021. Mr. Taylor was born on September 15,1947 in Louisville, KY to the late Malcolm and Sarah Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a member of Fern Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from the US Army. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, and his farm “critters”.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; children, Kenneth Taylor, Christopher Dale Cook, and Tiffany Marie Cook; and brother, Pete Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Phyllis Apted Taylor; children, Kelly Clarke (Darren), Rhonda Morgan (David) and Michele Grant (Mark); grandchildren, Megan Cook, Matthew Cook, Sarah Hayes (Joshua), Sarah Ritter (Adam) and McKenna Tucker (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Waylon Ritter and Preston Cook; sisters, Shirley Pickett, Lillian Crume, and Mary Ann Chasteen; and Bonus-daughter, Katie McGarry (Dave) and Family (Nick, Annie, and Phillip).

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 29,2021 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, December 28,2021 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
